Modern Slavery and Forced Labour Policy
1. Purpose
This Modern Slavery and Forced Labour Policy sets out GISS commitments to preventing modern slavery, forced labour, bonded labour, human trafficking, child labour, and exploitative labour practices in its operations and related service activities.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to GISS personnel, consultants, auditors, contractors, suppliers, partners, and other parties acting on behalf of GISS.
3. Zero-Tolerance Commitment
GISS does not tolerate forced labour, bonded labour, human trafficking, child labour, document retention for coercive purposes, recruitment fee exploitation, wage withholding, intimidation, or restrictions on worker freedom.
4. Supplier and Partner Expectations
Suppliers, contractors, and partners are expected to comply with applicable labour laws, respect human rights, provide safe working conditions, and avoid exploitative recruitment or employment practices.
5. Risk Awareness
GISS recognizes that modern slavery risks may arise in supply chains, subcontracting, recruitment, facilities, agriculture, manufacturing, hospitality, logistics, and other sectors. Relevant risks will be considered in due diligence and stakeholder engagement where applicable.
6. Reporting Concerns
Suspected forced labour, trafficking, child labour, or related abuse may be reported to GISS. Reports will be reviewed fairly and escalated where required.
7. Continuous Improvement
GISS will review this Policy periodically and strengthen awareness, due diligence, and corrective measures where relevant.
