Whistleblower Policy
1. Purpose
This Whistleblower Policy provides a framework for reporting suspected misconduct, unethical conduct, fraud, corruption, conflicts of interest, discrimination, human rights concerns, data misuse, or other serious issues connected with GISS activities.
2. Who May Report
Employees, consultants, auditors, assessors, contractors, clients, applicants, certified organizations, suppliers, partners, and external stakeholders may raise concerns in good faith.
3. Protected Disclosures
Reports may relate to legal or regulatory breaches, fraud, bribery, corruption, forced labour concerns, harassment, discrimination, certification misconduct, data protection concerns, retaliation, or misuse of authority.
4. Confidentiality
GISS will treat whistleblower reports confidentially to the extent reasonably possible. Information will be shared only with persons who need it to review, investigate, or resolve the matter.
5. Protection Against Retaliation
GISS does not tolerate retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith or assists with an investigation. Retaliation may result in corrective, disciplinary, or contractual action.
6. Review Process
Reports will be acknowledged where contact details are available, assessed objectively, and investigated when appropriate. Outcomes may include corrective action, process improvement, disciplinary action, or referral to competent authorities.
7. False or Malicious Reports
Knowingly false, malicious, or abusive reports may result in appropriate action. Good-faith reports will not be penalized even if the concern is not substantiated.
